Speaking of haunted media, we kick off Cycle 666 Friday Features with another take on M3GAN 2.0, this time by Hugo Plugis, who turns 11 this October and is not afraid to call a dingus a dingus. Published October 2, 2025.

M3GAN 2.0 (2025)

If you think of this movie while watching it as an action movie you will be very pleased, but if you watch this movie expecting it to be similar to M3GAN 1.0 you may be disappointed. Some reviews I read before watching M3GAN 2.0 said stuff about it being “campy,” and I could tell the scenes they were talking about, but I still loved it (though I had to leave for the trailers ’cause they were too overwhelming 😢).

The movie starts off strong and very much shows off its vibe early on (e.g., someone's head gets punched off in the first 5 minutes). As a child myself I appreciate how Cady coped after the disasters of M3GAN 1.0 by taking karate and secretly learning computer programming without her aunt knowing. But I thought it was unrealistic that after Gemma created a murder bot everyone was just like Oh yeah we should listen to her and take our children's phones away

There is one part in M3GAN 2.0 where you will say out loud: “friggen dingus!” You’ll know it when you see it. 4 out of 5 sacs of blood.
